Combination MIG/CUT/MMA/LIFT TIG machines are based on advanced IGBT inverter technology and manufactured to internationally accepted standards. The inverter technology converts 50/60Hz alternative current to direct current. The IGBT system allows the inversion to a higher (20khz) frequency. The international safety standard, EC60974-1 is applied in the manufacturing process of the machine. Both design and technology are patent-protected. The advanced power input system will detect and handle a voltage drop or a spike of up to 15%. This will not only safeguard the machine against damage resulting from erratic power supply, but will also ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation. The high-frequency ignition creates a very soft start arc as well as maximum arc control. This obviates the need to touch the workpiece with the tungsten electrode.
